September 2020 Virtual Meet Up

As restrictions due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to prevent physical meet ups, so too continue our virtual monthly meet ups. While waiting for people to join the meeting, those that were already there had a general chat about any LEGO related topics that came to mind. These included the latest Harry Potter Collectable Minifigures and recently released Diagon Alley set as well as the Super Mario sets. When the meet up officially began, we…

August 2020 Virtual Meet Up

As with our previous virtual meet up, we began with a quick introduction game to get to know a bit more about everyone, including our favourite colour LEGO bricks. May and June 2020 Virtual Meet Ups

With the continued lockdown due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), the GertLUG monthly meet ups are still being held online using Zoom. While it isn’t quite the same as meeting in person, there has been the added benefit of seeing some of our members who live further afield and don’t usually make it to the Bristol based meet ups. For the May meet up, there was an emphasis on SigFigs, the monthly build challenge and the…

Hidden Side to Apocalypseburg

I had been meaning to build a couple of modules for the Apocalypseburg Collaborative Build for a while and despite having a few ideas, never got round to it. While looking at the recently released Hidden Side sets, I figured there would probably be some useful parts in them that would go nicely with the Apocalypseburg build. LEGO set 70422, Shrimp Shack Attack, looked to be a good contender to start things off with, as…
